BREAKING SILENCE

Let's take a break from slamming margs all day to talk about something close to our hearts. No, not our lungs. Our ongoing partnership with Breaking Silence.

Breaking Silence is a nonprofit organization that engages and inspires communities to take action against interpersonal violence and understand its impact. Through their interactive traveling exhibit and eponymous podcast, survivors and perpetrators of violence and abuse share their stories, sparking reflection, understanding, and healing.

Do you wish YOU had the ability to start having those conversations and intervene faster when something is off? The organization also offers an interactive and engaging training program. WAGS & WALKS

We're partnering with Wags & Walks again to help our beloved canine friends. goodr x Wags & Walks is proud to present a fetch-ing collaboration pair of doggo-inspired sunnies each year. Because let's get real, dogs are the BEST people!!! Wags & Walks' goal is to break the stigma around rescue dogs and decrease the number of dogs euthanized in local shelters by proving that you can rescue wonderful pups of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. They strive to help pups find the loving forever homes they need and deserve. A portion of the proceeds from these sunnies will go to Wags & Walks. We hope that gets your tail wagging!!!

THE LOS ANGELES LGBT CENTER

It's not just about slapping a rainbow flag on sunnies. goodr proudly supports the LGBTQ+ community. Our mission is: "We exist to give you permission to be unabashedly yourself...unless you're an asshole." We create sunnies every Pride Month to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community being their authentic selves. A portion of proceeds go to The Los Angeles LGBT Center, which provides lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people programs & services including health, social services, housing, leadership, and advocacy. (Never sashay away from the fight for equal rights. Now put on these Pride sunnies and go from busted to dusted, okurrr?)

DENVER ZOO

goodr loves Denver Zoo!!! It's dedicated to saving wildlife through education and conservation, gives a home to over 3,000 animals, and was the first Zoo in the US to provide naturalistic enclosures rather than cages with bars. (Carl the Flamingo suggested they include actual bars that serve drinks so he & his animal friends can party together, but hasn’t gotten a response yet.) Over the years, we've created sunnies inspired by their silverback gorillas (I'm Bringing Silverback), African penguins (All I Do Is Penguin-Win-Win), and, the rock stars of the animal world, flamingos (Party Like a Flock Star). All proceeds go to Denver Zoo.

GEORGIA AQUARIUM

Stop giving sharks a bad name, Hollywood!!! They're not monsters. They're incredible. Sharks predate the dinosaurs, play a vital role in the ecosystem, grow unlimited teeth, use a ‘sixth sense’ (electroreceptor organs) to track prey, evolved into 500+ species, and face more threats from humans than we do from them. (Plot twist: WE’RE the monsters.)
So, we created sunnies for shark lovers: These Frames Don't Bite.
At Georgia Aquarium, you can observe the tiger shark, whale shark, and great hammerhead. GA promotes the conservation of aquatic biodiversity throughout the world. As an animal research and care leader, they're dedicated to fostering a deeper appreciation for our ocean and the creatures that call it home. goodr is proud to support Georgia Aquarium with these sunnies and a charitable donation.

In honor of Earth Day, we release our These Shades Are Trash sunnies, a pair of atmospheric clear frames with oceanic blue lenses made from 100% recycled plastic and 100% of the proceeds go to 1% For The Planet. As a member of 1% For The Planet, we're also climate neutral and donate 1% of our annual proceeds to verified nonprofits that support the earth and animals.
